Description apartment

The Alma apartment has been renovated and designed to the highest standards. It has wonderful features, such as exposed wooden beams in the ceilings and the wooden floor which gives that lovely rustic feel.

In the ground level, there is a spacious living/dining room with a comfortable double sofa bed, TV, DVD player. The beautiful glass dining table has four design leather chairs. The modern american kitchen is fully equipped with all amenitites needed for your meal.

The bedroom area is on the mezzanine level and you have the option of one double bed or two single beds depending on your needs. There is a desk with Wifi connection internet and a dressing room. The bathroom in the same level comes with a shower unit, sink, WC, electric towel rails and of course fresh towels.

It’s located in Poble Sec neighbourhood, in a quiet street. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars. Only at 20 minutes walking from the Ciuat Vella with barri Gothic, the old centre, Las Ramblas, Raval quarter and the harbour. Near to Montjuic where the Olympic Games took place in 1992. There are some very interesting sites to visit as, Olympic Stadium, Poble Espanyol and Joan Miro Foundation (museum).

Did you have a pleasant stay in the apartment? Yes. The apartment had good facilities. It was outside the main attractions of Barcelona but within walking distance and with easy access to public transportation. The location made us feel like one of the local residents. Judit and Olav were gracious hosts. Judit was in the apartment as soon as we telephoned her from the airport, and then waited for more than an hour bec our luggage was delayed. She gave us a map and books and many suggestions for places to visit. She also gave us directions to reach the city center by foot or subway. The apartment was clean and welcoming and tastefully decorated. I especially liked the kitchen and dining facilities. We cooked and dined and enjoyed our meals just as we do at home. Internet access was excellent. Judit and Olav came one day early for the check out because we had to leave very early the next day. We had a lovely visit with them, and we were impressed that they didn't even look to see whether we had damaged anything. They recognized that we were responsible and careful guests, and we appreciate that. Internet access was excellent
Is there something where you are not satisfied about? I couldn't figure out how the microwave worked. It would be helpful to supply guests with bath soap and shampoo. I brought my own because I didn't expect they would be supplied. It would have been nice to have an English-language channel on the TV. It would be helpful to post a list of key telephone numbers, for example for restaurants nearby.

Did you have a pleasant stay in the apartment? Yes we did! The apartment is beautiful and in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. The furnishings, towels and bed were all perfect and fomfortable. The location was great and close to a wonderful metro line that gave us access to everywhere we wanted to go. Check in and check out went smooth and Judith was lovely to work with. We would definitely reccomend this place to our friends.
Is there something where you are not satisfied about? One thing I would suggest is to fix the front door. It is quite difficult to open from the inside. Also, it would be extremely helpful and useful to have an updated and intact travel guide for Barcelona in the apartment. The 3 guide books in the apartment were between 5 years and ten old and torn to shreds.

Did you have a pleasant stay in the apartment? The apartment was great, bigger and better than expected actually. We were able to walk to the Gothic Quarter (about 20 minutes) and enjoy a live music festival that was in the neighborhood. The apartment was clean and modern and in perfect condition. Also, Judith was very helpful and flexible with our tight travel schedule.
