In the city of Barcelona are several facilities and possibilities to travel to your destination.

Metro
To move easy and quickly, the metro in Barcelona is a good choice to travel inside the city and for shorter distances.

The city of Barcelona has an extensive metro network that can be considered as good. The signposts are good and clear indicated. On every metrostation you can buy a ticket in the ticketmachine. These machines accept coins, paper money and credit cards. If you use the metro several days, then we advise you to buy a ticket for ten rides.(T-10). This is cheaper than buying every time a single ticket.

In total there are nine metrolines in Barcelona with good connections to other metrolines and trains(Estación Sants, Plaza Cataluña, Estación del Norte).

Train
For the longer distances is the train a good option. The Spanish railway company (RENFE) runs the lines in Spain. On the stations (Estacion Sants,-Franca and Norte) is everything clear indicated on computer
screens. In Catalunya is RENFE cercanias/ regionales responsible.
Traveling with the train is cheap. From the airport Barcelona goes every 30 minutes a train to Plaza Catalunya with the destination Estacion Franca. This can be easy when you rent an apartment in the area El Born, Barceloneta and Gothic Quarter.

Bus
To take the bus in Barcelona is a good option but it is not the fastest way to arrive on your destination. There are a lot of bus lines which drives 8 till 10 times an hour that line. In general they go from 6.30 am till 22.30 pm.
There are also nightbusses in the city.
The ticket from the metro you can also use in the bus.

Taxi
In Barcelona is it normal to travel with a taxi. In the city you can flag down a taxi just in the road (this is not forbidden). The taxi in Barcelona is a fast and cheap way of traveling. A ride from the Airport Barcelona to the city costs approximately 20 - 25 euro (distance is around 13 km)
Between 21:00 pm and 07:00 am and in Sundays and Public holidays there is an additional fee from 3 euro above the price.
